Aldea del Fresno

Here the ambush that Ramon Rojo (Gian Maria Volontè) tends to the army advancing towards San Miguel takes place.

The scenes are shot along the river where there is now a park with picnic tables and little beaches. The landscape on the river has changed considerably, it is to note above all how the vegetation has increased, but the profiles of the whole area of the scenes are very clear.

Aldea del Fresno is located southwest of Madrid; stop at one of the parking areas along the road and descend towards the river passing under the overpass which is also seen in the film.

To capture some scenes from the film, some shots must be taken from the road…but we didn’t do it. Maybe next time.
