A Pistol for Ringo

italiano

It is a 1965 film directed by Duccio Tessari, with Giuliano Gemma, in USA credited as Montgomery Wood.

Some other actors: Fernando Sancho, assiduous presence in the spaghetti westerns of the time; Antonio Casas, also present in For a few Dollars more.

The music is by Ennio Morricone. Frankly it does not reach the heights that we are used to appreciate in the soundtracks of Sergio Leone’s films.

The scenes of the film are carried out in the San Josè area, in particular near the Playa de los Genoveses. Since we’ve been many times on that road photographing, in particular, the beautiful mill, I decided to add this unscheduled.

At the beginning of the film you can also see the image of the Arab well (noria) which is located on the main road that passes through Pozo de los Fraile going towards San Josè.

This is the windmill, the Molino de Collado. Among other things, if you take the road that you see on the left you will arrive, after a hundred meters, at the Cortijo de los Genoveses, where some scenes of For a few Dollars more take place.

And this is Pozo de los Frailes.
